A meta-analysis of 18 randomized clinical trials including 1,047 participants (with 514 in the probiotic group) on Lactobacillus plantarum and immune health suggests L. plantarum enhances immune response by modulating pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines.

A review of nine clinical trials, including 534 adults (18 years and older), found a significant reduction in systolic (3.56 mm Hg) and diastolic (2.38 mm Hg) compared to placebo. However, the Heart Outcomes Prevention Evaluation (HOPE Study) found reducing systolic blood pressure by 3.3 mm Hg and diastolic blood pressure by 1.4 mm Hg was associated with a 22 percent reduction in stroke, heart attack, or cardiovascular event resulting in death.

I've been taking the same probiotic for many years. Actually, I changed to a different brand twice and went back to my original probiotics. I ordered Cooper Complete Advanced Daily Probiotic and after two days, noticed a difference. I experience bloating after certain foods sometimes. I read many articles regarding probiotics and how important it is for us to consume daily. I realize it isn't an rx, however, I've been told based on my diet, I should take probiotics. I live a healthy lifestyle and do like wine. With all this said, this probiotic works for me and I am satisfied. I plan to continue taking this supplement.
